In a country house located in a Ruitoque condominium, we were commissioned with the design for a terrace swimming pool. The yard, placed on the edge of a hill with a stunning view, facing the mountains and the dawn, was the perfect spot for this project.

This design was proposed with two fundamental concepts: On the one hand, framing the landscape from inside the house and from the terrace/pool, creating perspective and arrangement between the background and the projected forms. And on the other, a much more complex and subtle aspect: bringing back the sensation of what we perceive as timeless, moments in which everything occurs instantly:

The charm of water and its sound.

And the sunlight, with its glitter in the water, which evokes the consciousness for the passage of time.

The confined vegetation, harmonized with the site, swaying softly in the breeze.

The illumination, arranged in such a manner that it calls for silence when night falls.

Antiquity brought to the present through the use of a noble stone with an everlasting history: Travertine.

The latter, more poetic and hard to describe, has to do with a significant sensory enrichment for the users through the encounter with natural features that have always been there, and this project intends to reveal.
